Parishioners are asked to note that there are significant changes in place that will affect Masses and the daily working of the church. These are detailed below.
With effect from Wednesday 18th March 2020 St Colmcille’s Church Holywood will open Monday
to Saturday from 10.30am to 5pm to facilitate private prayer. The church will be open on Sundays for private prayer from 1pm to 5pm
Fr Stephen McBrearty and/or Fr Andrew Black will celebrate Mass privately from the Altar in
the Church each day of the week. There will be no congregation and it will not be possible for you to attend Mass. Masses will be broadcast live on our website and can be accessed by following this link: https://www.stcolmcillesholywood.org/web-cam
Mass times will be:
Monday 7pm
Tuesday 9.30am
Wednesday 9.30am
Thursday 9.30am
Friday 7pm
Saturday vigil 6.30pm
Sunday 12 Noon
All these Masses, will be celebrated privately – no attendance allowed
Funerals need to be arranged- paying the greatest respect to the families at their time of loss
and sorrow, and will be arranged between Fr Stephen and the Parish Secretary Claire and adhering to all direct advice coming through from the Diocese and Government.
All exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will end until further notice.
Any other meetings or arranged social events, which may have been planned, have been
cancelled until further notice.
Our prayer is for the healing for our sick and we pray that the virus, that so many have fallen
victim to will come to a speedy end.
